studio Boessel was responsible for the fabrication and helped in the design development with Stefan Beese, of RE:BE Design for for the Quiksilver Surf Pro held in New York. Despite having to survive an a hurricane, and a complete of Long Beach, the team managed to have everything in place by the time Kelly Slater and the other top-ranked surfers arrived. We utilized 40' shipping containers to stay within the green/recycle theme of the event. The containers were stacked 3 high (30') and out like high end lofts complete with full wall glass windows, casework, lockers, couches, and plenty of TV's. This was the ever event that provided lockers, showers, lounges, and class treatment for the superstars. We apologize to the rest of the events for setting the bar so high...but it was about time to treat these world class athletes like the dignitaries that they are!
